Prof. Robert Ll. Morris, Emeritus, August 3, 2011
"To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter as a general reference for the work done in the past by Deborah L.
Walliser in the area of hydroponic greenhouse vegetable production and a personal reference as well. I’m a retired Associate Professor (Emeritus) from the University of Nevada and horticulture specialist for Southern Nevada. I was housed by UNR in Las Vegas from 1984-2011. As a faculty member with the University, some of my expertise has been in small-scale vegetable and fruit production and high-end marketing of these crops to local chefs, direct to the consumer and high-end groceries chains. My work has resulted in the major expansion of a local food network of local producers and high-value products which never existed prior to 2005 and now entertains over 60 producers within 150 miles of Las Vegas.
I have known Deborah since 2000 when she was employed by the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension in greenhouse management. I observed her as a University professional and later as an entrepreneur in the greenhouse industry. I would consider Deborah extremely knowledgeable in all areas of greenhouse management, and in particular hydroponics, where she has, in my opinion, excelled in vegetable production of the highest quality coming out of a greenhouse. I arranged for her products to be sampled by local chefs of the highest order in Las Vegas where they found her products to be of exceptional quality. For this reason, I assisted her in entering the Las Vegas market direct to high-end restaurants, at the consumer level and as a vendor for Whole Foods.
I’ve found Deborah to be one of the hardest working growers that I have had the fortune to work with. In particular the qualities that make Deborah unique among producers are her inquisitive and imaginative mind when it comes to new technologies which conserve water and fertilizer, organic certification and how these apply to high quality/high value production in greenhouses. She has pioneered some innovative technologies in her commercial greenhouses in the desert Southwest.
On a personal note she has an enjoyable personality and a friendly manner around chefs, consumers and the general public. I was sorry to see her leave the academic world but I do feel she is well-suited to commercial production where her talents can be better utilized."
Sincerely,
“We helped Deborah franchise her Got Produce Hydroponic company and found her to be professional in all our dealings. She is very capable and will have a very successful franchise both in the US and abroad.”December 6, 2011
“Deborah works very hard and has extensive knowledge which is a great service in building a business. I would recommend her to anyone looking to delve into the agriculture industry. She is very good at maintaining contact throughout the process and is willing to go above and beyond any franchisor I've ever worked with.” December 7, 2011

Did You Know?
Deborah's first designs were for a project called B.E.T.S.I house, incorporating space biology? It stands for Biologically Engineered Technologically Sensitive Interactive house and was later redesigned as a 'greenhouse'
